Jamshedpur (Jharkhand) [India], November 4 (ANI): Chennaiyin FC (CFC) defeated Jamshedpur FC (JFC) by 5-1 at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 on Monday.

It was a thoroughly professional performance from Chennaiyin FC as they dominated the match from start to finish with Irfan Yadwad, Connor Shields, Wilmar Jordan Gil, and Lukas Brambilla all registering their names on the scoresheet. Jamshedpur FC pulled a goal back in the 81st minute, against the run of play when Yadwad handled the ball in the penalty area following a free-kick. The hosts were rewarded with a penalty and Javi Hernandez stepped and scored the consolation goal.

Irfan Yadwad was a livewire for the visitors with a goal and a couple of assists on the night. He also created four chances and completed 14 out of his 20 attempted passes.

Chennaiyin FC will welcome Mumbai City FC at home on Saturday for an early kickoff whereas Jamshedpur FC will again be in action on November 23 when they will travel to Kolkata to face Mohun Bagan SG. (ANI)
